National Team Highlights
  • Helped the U.S. win the 2000 Algarve Cup.
  • A key reserve for the U.S. at the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup. Scored a pair of goals against North Korea, celebrating the second with a back flip, and also saw action in the Final against China.
  • Started every game of the 1996 Olympics. Scored the opening goal of the tournament against Denmark and also scored against Sweden.
  • Played every minute of the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup and tied Kristine Lilly and Tiffeny Milbrett for the team lead in goals with three. Scored the opening goal of the tournament against China, the icer against Japan in the quarterfinals and the game-winner against China in the third-place game.
  • Helped the U.S. qualify for the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup at the 1994 CONCACAF Qualifying tournament. Scored a goal against Mexico and a pair of goals against Trinidad & Tobago.

  • In 2003, played in 20 games, starting 15, and scored three goals with two assists. Retired at the end of the season before the WUSA folded.
  • Played in all 21 games, starting 20, in 2002. Scored six goals with three assists.
  • Started all 19 regular-season games in which she played in 2001 for the C-Rays. Missed two games after breaking her wrist in the inaugural game. Scored three goals with three assists. Played every minute of the 2001 post-season. Assisted the game-winning goal against the New York Power in the semifinals and scored the game-tying goal with four minutes left to force the 2001 WUSA Final into overtime. In the PK shootout, she nailed the first kick for the C-Rays who went on to win the inaugural WUSA Championship.

  • Played for the University of North Carolina from 1991-1994 and won four NCAA titles.
  • Started 93 of 95 games for the Tar Heels and scored 69 career goals with 51 career assists.
  • Won the Hermann Trophy and M.A.C. Award as a senior in 1994.
  • Received the 1995 Patterson Medal, awarded to the most outstanding senior athlete at UNC. Also won the 1995 Mary Garber Award as the most outstanding female athlete in the ACC.
  • Named to Soccer America's Team of the Decade for the 1990s.
  • Earned NSCAA All-American honors every year of her collegiate career.
  • Named the NCAA tournament's Most Valuable Defensive Player in 1991 and the Most Valuable Offensive Player in 1994.
  • Selected as the 1994 ACC Player of the Year, was a three-time ACC Tournament MVP (1991, 1993 and 1994) and a four-time All-ACC selection (1991-1994).
  • Named Freshman of the Year by Soccer America and ACC Rookie of the Year in 1991. Led the national in scoring in 1991 with 58 points on 21 goals and 16 assists.
