National Team Coaching Highlights
The interim National Team head coach at the 2000 Australia Cup.
Served as a National Team assistant coach from 1989-1999.
Guided the U-20/U-21s from 1997-1999 leading them to the 1997 and 1999 Nordic Cup titles and a second-place finish in 1998.
After competing in the National Team player pool from 1985-1989 and earning a single cap during her National Team playing career, she joined the team's coaching staff. First woman to coach the National Team in any capacity.
Collegiate Coaching Highlights
Coached the University of Virginia from 1986-1995. Under her leadership, UVa posted a 133-58-15 record, 0.682 winning percentage and eight NCAA appearances. First woman to coach in the NCAA Final Four in 1991.
Named the 1990 NSCAA Coach of the Year (first woman to earn that honor) and the 1989 ACC Coach of the Year.
Served as an assistant coach for Harvard University for two years. Also an assistant coach at UNC.

National Team Milestones
Collegiate Highlights
Played at the University of North Carolina in 1981 and 1982. Helped the Tar Heels to the 1981 AIAW National Championship and the first ever NCAA Championship in 1982.
Named a Third-Team All-American in 1981.
Went to Harvard University for a visiting year and helped the Ivy League school defeat UNC in the 1980 AIAW Final Four.
Began her collegiate career playing on a boys' team at Lehigh University.
Last We Heard
Adopted a daughter from China.
Works as a consultant to revive a women's professional soccer league and also works to spread the game through coaching education through such organizations as FIFA, NSCAA, etc.
Holds a USSF "A" Coaching License.
Served as the WUSA's Vice President of Player Personnal and Technical Director and helped to bring several international players into the league.
Wrote a book, "The Champion Within," with Tim Nash.
