National Team Highlights
A reserve forward during the first incarnation of her career, she logged the majority of her caps at left back.
After not logging a minute of action during the group stage of the 2004 Olympics, she started at left back in the quarterfinals, semifinals and final to help the U.S. win the gold medal.
Missed the 2004 Four Nations Tournament, the 2004 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament and the 2004 Algarve Cup while recovering from a broken bone in her foot suffered at the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Broke a bone in her foot during the first half of the opening game of the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup against Sweden and missed the rest of the tournament.
Helped the U.S. qualify for the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup at the 2002 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup.

Played in 15 games during 2003, starting all of them, but missed several games at the end of the season with a leg injury. Scored one goal with four assists and was named to the All-WUSA Second Team. Voted as a starter to the WUSA All-Star Game and scored a goal during the match.
Played in 18 games for San Jose in 2002, playing forward at times, and scored four goals with three assists. Named to the All-WUSA Second Team. Started on the WUSA North All-Star team, she received the most votes of any player.
Led the CyberRays to the inaugural 2001 WUSA Championship and was a member of the All-WUSA First Team. Played in 19 regular season games, scoring two goals with five assists.
Collegiate Highlights
Played for Santa Clara University in 1989 and 1990 and led the Broncos to two NCAA Final Fours.
Named a First-Team NSCAA All-American in 1990 and a All-Far West selection in 1989.
Sat out the 1987 and 1988 collegiate seasons after having ACL surgery on both of her knees before transferring to Santa Clara University.
Played for the University of California-Berkeley in 1986 and earned Soccer American Freshman of the Year honors.

She worked as a sideline reporter for ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 telecasts of MLS games in 2005 and 2006.
Wrote a book, "It's Not About the Bra," with Gloria Averbuch.
