National Team Highlights
  • Played every minute of the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. Scored the game-winning goal against Nigeria in group play. Also tallied a goal and an assist against Norway in the third-place match.
  • Moved to central midfield in 2007.
  • A member of the 2007 and 2006 residency programs.
  • After suffering a concussion on 2006.01.20 against France, she was out of action until 2006.07.15 against Sweden due to recurring concussions.
  • Voted the 2005 U.S. Soccer Young Female Athlete of the Year.
  • Breakthrough year came in 2005 when U.S. head coach Greg Ryan moved her from midfield to left back.

    Youth National Team Highlights
  • A key member of the U.S. squad that won the 2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship, Chalupny worked tirelessly in the midfield and tallied an assist against Australia in the quarterfinals.
  • Played with the U-21s at the 2001, 2003 and 2004 Nordic Cups, winning the event in 2003 and 2004.
  • Also competed with the U-16s.

  • Played attacking, left and holding midfielder for the Tar Heels from 2002-2005.
  • Helped UNC to the 2003 NCAA title as she recorded 11 goals and 12 assists as a sophomore.
